All programs are contained on individual disk image files and are prepared ready to run unless otherwise stated. All my Atari programs wherever found including the programs in this section are released into the public domain. Please note that some of my programs and disks may contain an address, if so then please note that the address stated is no longer relevant. Turbo Assembler - Version 4
Turbo Assembler Version IV
Download Turbo Assembler - Version 4
Turbo Assembler version 4 is a programming utility designed specifically for writing machine code routines for use within Basic programs and to this end, the output files are written directly into Basic which avoids the usual problems of converting the conventional object code. The Turbo Assembler uses the standard 6502 assembly language mnemonics together with a few special non-standard features in order to ease the whole process of producing machine code routines for use within Basic. Turbo Assembler version IV can assemble an assembly language source code listing into a machine code file consisting of up to 15 pages or 3840 bytes of code, enough for any machine code routine for use within a Basic program.

Constant to Variable Converter - Version 2
Constant to Variable Converter - Version 2
Download Program Disk 2
Recently updated to Version 2, a utility program for programmers. Constants require 10 bytes of storage space in memory whilst variables only require 4 bytes, it is therefore good practice to conserve memory by converting constants used three times or more into variables. The Constant to Variable Converter initially reads the listing counting the constants used and then reads the listing a second time replacing the often used constants. The converted variable names are simply the constant itself prefixed by a letter so that they are instantly recognisable within a listing. Version II converts constants that occur three times or more into variables, the original version only converted constants that occurred more than three times.
